Dateacar is a new and exciting concept built around the belief that there are many of us who have a list of cars(sometimes very long), that we would like to experience driving at some point in our lives. Unfortunately many of these cars are just not available to rent anywhere. Buying and then reselling can be an expensive process.
Classic and exotic car companies can also be expensive, but the main problem is limited variety. Now there is another way – the Date-A-Car way!

Dateacar is the work of a bright team of Classic Car enthusiasts led by serial entrepreneur, Julio J Faria, founder of April Training Executive Ltd and co-founder of Surface Transforms plc, a London Stock Market AIM listed company involved in the development and manufacture of carbon ceramic brakes. The team includes Andy Piggott, founder of Incutio and a leading innovator in the internet software world, Alan Hickman creator of JetViewer, an advanced internet database system and Dr Nigel Smart a US based entrepreneur and founder of SMART Consulting Group. Other key members are Tony Core, Lucy Jefferson and Craig Lewis.

Dateacar is based on person-to-person car hire, supplemented with stocks from classic car businesses and other trade sources. Members create a list of the cars they would like to drive (dream garage) and also register their cars (my garage), identifying which ones they are prepared to hire out, and when.

When any of the cars on the member’s dream list become available, they are contacted by email/text and invited to bid for the car. Alternatively members can search for specific cars and contact the owners

The owner chooses who hires his/her car, helped by a facility which provides an insurance quote for each bid, together with relevant background information and a history of the bidder’s previous transactions. Sometimes the hirers are TV and film companies looking for specific cars, or even wedding cars.

Everyone wins. The owner makes money from a car that would be sitting in the garage much of the year, and the hirer gets to drive their dream cars, often cars just not available anywhere else. Time for you to join us?
